Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Tarovent collects when you sign in, save readings, ask follow-up questions, and buy one-time paid packs.
Last updated: May 1, 2026
Tarovent takes privacy seriously. This page describes the data we collect, how we use it to run the product, and what controls you have over your information.
Information We Collect
Tarovent collects only the categories of information needed to run the product and meet operational or legal requirements:
- Account and sign-in data such as your email address, profile details returned by Google sign-in, and authentication identifiers managed through our sign-in system.
- Reading and journal data such as your question, selected spread, cards drawn, interpretations, follow-up prompts, timestamps, and saved history.
- Purchase and access information such as the pack you selected, checkout or payment identifiers, payment status, and the reading access granted after successful payment. Tarovent does not store full payment card numbers.
- Technical and usage data such as IP address, browser or device details, session cookies, diagnostics, and service logs used to understand reliability, fraud-prevention, and product performance.
- Support communications if you email us or submit a support/privacy request.
How We Use Your Data
We use personal data to authenticate you, deliver readings, save your journal, process purchases and reading access, send requested product emails, prevent abuse, support the service, and respond to account or legal requests. Usage data also helps us monitor product quality, stability, and performance. Tarovent uses one-time purchases instead of subscriptions. Paid packs add extra readings, wider spread formats for the same question, and follow-up questions after paid readings.
Legal Bases and Regional Rights
Where privacy law requires a legal basis, Tarovent generally relies on contract performance to provide the product you requested, legitimate interests to secure and improve the service, and legal obligations for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or law-enforcement compliance.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or a copy of the data we hold about you, and to complain to your local supervisory authority. California residents may also have rights to know, delete, or correct information subject to applicable exceptions. We do not sell reading journal content.
AI Processing and Service Providers
To generate readings, Tarovent sends the question, cards, and required context to the AI and infrastructure providers that power the product. The current stack may include cloud hosting, database and authentication providers, AI model providers or gateways, email delivery providers, Google sign-in, and payment processors used for checkout.
Those providers process data on our behalf or under their own privacy terms, depending on the service involved. Data may be processed or stored outside your home jurisdiction, including in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.
Sharing, Model Training, and Retention
We do not sell your personal data. Signed-in reading content can be stored to support your private journal and continuity, but it is not sold or used by Tarovent to train the reading model.
We keep account and journal data until you delete it, ask us to delete it, or we otherwise stop offering the related service. Payment, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and security records may be retained longer where needed to meet legal obligations. Technical logs and operational diagnostics are typically kept for a shorter operational window unless we need them for abuse investigation or security response.
Your Rights and Choices
You can delete individual journal entries inside Tarovent where that feature is available, and you may request deletion of your account or associated data by contacting us. If deletion conflicts with a legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or security obligation, we may retain only the limited records required for that purpose.
You can also sign out of your account or block cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in, secure checkout, or saved reading history from working properly.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Tarovent uses essential cookies and similar storage for authentication, session continuity, secure checkout, and site operation.
This section is the current explanation of how cookies and similar technologies work on the site.
Children and Age Limits
Tarovent is not directed to children under 13, and you must be older if the law where you live requires a higher minimum age to use the service. If you believe a child provided personal data in violation of this rule, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
